• Vietnam’s exports and imports started strongly in early 2026, reaching approximately USD 39.3 billion in the first half of January, with the FDI sector remaining the main contributor.

• Viettel launched construction of Vietnam’s first semiconductor chip manufacturing plant in Hoa Lac, marking a significant step forward in the semiconductor value chain and technological self-reliance.
